Fibreglass Boat Repairs and Restoration

Fibreglass Refurbishment

Boats lose their value faster than any other large purchase you’ll own. Surprisingly, this is not due to failure of the boat manufacturers or the marine industry in general and unfortunately boat owners sometimes do not have time to properly care for their investment. We have been successfully repairing fibreglass boats for many satisfied customers, at MASRM we will manage every aspect of your boat servicing. Call us today 0732662786.

At MASRM Fibreglass Repairs, we know your boat is very important to you and means a big investment, it is one of life’s small pleasures. Whether you own an expensive or an affordable boat it just makes sense to do everything we can to properly maintain and protect it from the elements.

These elements can damage Fibreglass, Gel-coat and of course, wood on your boat.

In Queensland every day, most boats endure a cycle of temperature and humidity changes, from cool and damp nights to hot, steamy days. This expansion and contraction, wet-dry daily cycling, occurring even on days with the best boating weather, takes a toll on gel-coat and wood.

Transom Replacement

Transom Repair Before

The transom, floor, and stringers in a boat are, collectively, the most important elements of its construction. Compromising even a single one of the three puts the safety of the vessel and the lives aboard in jeopardy. Each boat is constructed different which means the way we repair them is not always the same, rebuilding a transom is no a small job, but it can be done.

Transom Repair Process

To do it right, this is one job that is best left to the professionals. We are dedicated to fixing anything wrong with your boat properly and quickly, allowing you to enjoy more time on the water.  Our extensive experience can provide anything from transom replacement services to serious structural damages, on all types, sizes, and styles of boats, including powerboats and sailing boats. Call us for a free estimate 0732662786.

The transom of a powerboat is the strongest part of the vessel. It supports the weight of the motor it also takes the constant pounding of the hull back to the engine; all this load and pressure comes back to the transom.

This is why it is an important part of your boat it takes more abuse than any other part. Eventually a transom will be deteriorated to the point that your boat is not seaworthy. Over time, wear and tear, and exposure to the elements, almost without fail, even the most well-built boat will end up with a rotted-out transom core. Rot in a transom may extend to the floors and stringers, they are also likely to be bad. Decide what you will replace, but be ready to discover hidden damage.
